Kayla Necole Begley, 18, of Murphy, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Erlanger Medical Center.
Kayla was born Jan. 20, 2000, in Dalton, Ga., to Louis Begley and Michele Rodriquez Begley. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Weldon Allen.
Kayla enjoyed listening to music and singing. She also learned sign language and was recently accepted into Western Carolina University.
Survivors include her parents, Louis and Michele Begley; sister, Jasmine Newby (Mark Goins); nephew Kasen; brother, Gavin Begley; maternal grandmother, Patsy Allen; paternal grandparents, Linda and Bobby Begley; aunts and uncles, Jose and Brittany Rodriguez, Lyndi and Steven Guess, Robert and Diana Begley, Meechelle and Jorge Patino and Christopher and Jennifer Precise; cousins, Lily, Kobe, Robby, Zac, Gabby, Jorge, Salena and Virginia.
Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home in McCaysville, Ga. Honorary pallbearers were Barbara Sneed, Ian Dickerson, Jose Rodriquez and James Hughes.
The family received friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home. Flowers were accepted or you may make a donation to the funeral home to aid with funeral expenses.
