Robert Dennis Witter, 67, of Murphy, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, in Buncombe County, N.C.
Robert was a native of Canton, Ohio, and the son of the late George and Lorna English Witter.
He was a certified welder. Robert was a volunteer for several years at The Sharing Center in Murphy. He enjoyed making peace pipes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Witter.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Witter; four sons, Christopher Witter, Josh Devaul, Travis Dudley and E.J. Devaul; three daughters, Breanna Laizure, Shyloh Rogers and Tawnya Percy; one brother, George Witter; two sisters, Debbie Witter and Candi Stein; grandchildren, Avalynn, Samantha, Scotty, Deedra, John, Christin, Aidan, Lilly and R.J.; and one great grandchild, Rowan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Andrews United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mary Brown will officiate.
