
M. Ann Oldham Boyd, 81, of Blairsville, Ga., and formerly of Murphy, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at her residence.
She was a native of Greenville, S.C., and the daughter of the late Edwin and Virginia Clemmer Oldman.
She did payroll for her husband’s business, Boyd’s Cabinets. She enjoyed bowling, lunch with family and friends, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boyd Jr.; and one brother, Donald Oldham.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianna L. Ricker and husband Casey of Mystic, Conn., Vicki S. Watson and husband Kenneth of Murphy, and Terry A. Donaldson and husband Daniel of Crystal River, Fla.; one son, David W. Boyd of Blairsville, Ga.; one brother, Edwin P. Oldham of Oak Harbor, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer A. Dusenberry of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Timothy S. Watson of Spring Hill, Tenn., Daniel M. Donaldson of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., J. Scott Watson of Bellair, Fla., Emily L. Romero of Agana Heights, Guam, Cindy A. Lewis of Inverness, Fla., Kendall R. Donaldson of Dunnellon, Fla., Robert Boyd of Tennessee, Hannah S. English of Murphy, and Jacob G. Ricker of Mystic, Conn.; 19 great-grandchildren; and her caregivers, Lisa Waters, Kay Coffey, Rebecca Huebner and Angie Brown.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Chaplain Greg Bailey officiated. Burial was in Laurel Hills Memory Gardens in Young Harris, Ga. Pallbearers were Timothy S. Watson, Daniel M. Donaldson, J. Scott Watson, Kendall R. Donaldson, Robert Boyd and Jacob G. Ricker.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
