Thomas Charles LaPlaca, 64, of Marble, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga.
He was a native of New Haven, Conn., and son of Joseph LaPlaca of Vermont and the late Joan Conners LaPlaca.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He was in restaurant management. Thomas was a beloved dad. He was on the Andrews Rescue Squad for 10 years.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tori LaPlaca; and one brother, Joe LaPlaca.
He is survived by two sons, Jonah LaPlaca and wife Kayla of Marble and Anthonie LaPlaca of Robbinsville; four daughters, Angela LaPlaca of Maine, Destinee Barton and husband Anthony of Marble, Stephanie Charles and husband Jackie of Virginia and Ciera Lee and husband Travis of South Carolina; four brothers, Christopher LaPlaca, William LaPlaca, Mark LaPlaca and Peter LaPlaca; six sisters, Mary-Ann Colegrove, Francis Mary LaPlaca, Colleen LaPlaca, Marlan LaPlaca, Catherine Fusco and Claudia LaPlaca; 17 grandchildren six great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned.
