Talbert Arlon McClure, 93, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at Valley View Care Center in Andrews.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, and the son of the late Robert “Bob” and Lena Gibby McClure.
Talbert was a farmer. He was a member of Junaluska Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Arvil McClure; and three sisters, Willie Bell, Kathleen McClure and Dolly Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara McClure; and three nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Rev. Bo Phillips officiated. Burial was in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dee McClure, Ted McClure, Michael Carringer, Dwayne Carringer and Herman Hardin.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
