Dr. Herbert Badger

    Dr. Herbert Andrew Badger, 83, of Douglasville, Ga.,  passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018.
    He was born May 5, 1935, in Walpole, Mass.
    Dr. Badger was a tenured professor with Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., and a teacher with Lecanto High School in Lecanto, Fla. Andrew was a highly respected teacher and a scholar with many publications to his name.
    He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and his students.
    He also took pride in being a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving six years from 1958 to 1964.
    Preceding him in death are his parents, Herbert and Eugenia Badger, as well as sisters, Mary Badger and Lois Badger.
    He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deleana Badger; sons, David Badger and Grady Bernreuter; daughters, Patty Badger, Diane Badger, Ingrid Hall, Maria Badger and Jennafer Bernreuter; brothers, Tim Badger and Steve Badger; grandchildren, Olivia McDaniel, Kimsie Rafiel, Thomas McDaniel, James Connor Robinson, Kelsey Hall, Ava Belle Cole, Violet Cole, Gemma Cole, Jackson Badger, Samantha Bernreuter; and great-grandchild, Liam McDaniel; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
    The family will have a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, in the Rosehaven Chapel.
    The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made instead to Lecanto High School Alumni Association, Lecanto High School, Lecanto, FL 34461.
