Wayne Franklin Icenhour, 86, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Asheville.
He was born in Taylorsville to the late Parks and Dare Morrison Icenhour.
Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alvera Icenhour; one son, Danny Icenhour and wife Christa; two daughters, Patty Packey and husband Ray and Sandra Ballaron and husband Frank; three stepchildren, Rick Sink and wife Genese, Pamela Tiller and husband Chuck and Patricia Robertson and husband Russell; six grandchildren, Keith, Todd, Tasha, Grant, Adam Nick, Sammy and Tori; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, May 11, at Marble Springs Baptist Church. Pastor John Bailey will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11 at the church.
