Darryl Keith Raper, 57, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at his home in Sevierville, Tenn.
He was terminally ill with osteomyelitis.
Darryl grew up in Murphy and moved to Port Orange, Fla., to follow his business goals.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Raper; paternal grandparents, Martin T. and Dora Lou Kilpatrick Raper; and maternal grandparents, Frank Jackson and Vyrtle Williamson Hamby.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Raper of Sevierville, Tenn.; aunts, Joyce Allen of Murphy and Brenda Hamby of Grayson, Ga.; several cousins, Jonathan Allen, Sherry Graves, Alan Hamby, Larry Hamby
and Cassandra Morrow, along with many cousins of the Raper family.
Darryl was an avid model car builder, attending many shows each year and always bringing home at least one first-place trophy. The shows and his models were shown in many magazines each year.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
