James Daniel Ogden, 80, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019.
“Danny” was a long time resident of Lutz, Fla., then retired to Murphy, where he resided since 2003.
He was a sheet metal journeyman by trade for 35 years, a master auto mechanic and also a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn Ogden; daughter Lorie Shepherd and husband Darren of North Carolina; son, Lon Ogden and wife Betty of Florida; grandchildren, Dakota Gabrielle Shepherd, Genesis Villorente and husband Kleizer, Denise Ogden, and Zachary Ogden.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Shepard of the Mountains Church.
