Charles “Chris” McCoy, 51, of Murphy, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, at his home.
He was a native of Cherokee County. Chris loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed woodcarving and had a real talent to draw.
He attended Rowland Hill Baptist Church in Marble.
Chris was the son of Tim and Barbara Farmer McCoy of Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jujuan Earley McCoy; daughter, Shay McCoy; brother, Jeff McCoy and wife Trisha; sisters, Felicia Maney and Tammy Harding; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Matt Mull officiated. Burial followed in Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
