
Monica “Moondoggie” Aslee Moore, 41, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
She was the daughter of J.L. Moore and Betty Jean Lovingood Moore of Murphy. She was a member of the Degree of Honor and Hanging Dog Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ned and Willa Mae Lovingood, and paternal grandparents, Leonard and Aslee Moore.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers, Jerald Moore of Challis, Idaho, Darrel Moore and wife Kimberly of Elkton, Ore., and Chris Moore and wife Chelsea of Murphy; sisters, Lisa Sells and husband Timothy of Murphy; nieces, Kendyl and Kayley Sells and Savannah Moore; nephews, Remington, Spencer and Hunter Moore, and Brandon, Ryan and Devin Cordin; and great-nephew, Landon Cordin.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Hanging Dog Baptist Church. The Revs. Greg Swain and L.B. Adams officiated.
The family received friends from 2:30-4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, at Hanging Dog Baptist Church.
Funeral services also will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Home in Cottage Grove, Ore. Burial will be in the Sear Cemetery.
