Noah Dockery

    Noah O. Dockery, 80, of Kingston, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at his residence peacefully with his wife by his side.
    Mr. Dockery was a member of Harriman Church of God. He was retired from TVA after a career of 41 years as a map surveyor.  
    Mr. Dockery was a veteran of the U. S. Marines, achieving the rank of sergeant.  He was an avid golfer and a helper to his fellowman.
    He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all.  
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Dockery and Willa Mae McDonald Dockery; and brother, Mack Dockery.
    He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Hall Dockery of Kingston, Tenn.; son, James Dockery (Sonia) of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter,  Debbie Davis (Chris) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; brothers: Guy Dockery of Lebanon, Tenn., and Dennis Dockery (Marie) of Murphy; sister, Eva Decker (Billy) of Blairsville, Ga.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tenn. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ottis Ball officiating, along with the Rev. Jeff Blackman.
    Concluding services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tenn., with full-military honors by the U.S. Marines Honor Guard and Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
    Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Noah O. Dockery.
