She was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Sept. 16, 1943.
She graduated from Palm Beach Junior College in 1963, where she won the Wall Street Journal award. She was the first female student to earn that honor. She proceeded to the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in 1965.
She proudly worked as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines for 39 years and was a member of Delta Clipped Wings.
Her passions for animals, quilting and preserving the environment were only surpassed by her love for her family.
Sandra was married for 47 years to Dale Edward Brown from Norcross, Ga.
Left to honor Sandra and remember her love are her husband Dale; her son and daughter-in-law, Collin and Christine Buckley Brown; her grandchildren, Liza, Anna Leigh and Walker Brown; sisters and brother-in-law, Janet Yarbrough, Phyllis Peterson, and Rhonda and Wayne Holder; and in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenimer Otis Camp, and her mother, Jacqueline Copeland Camp.
While Sandy is no longer with us, she had a wonderful life worthy of celebration. Family and friends whose lives Sandy touched were invited to the Celebration of Her Life from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at the Historic Howard House, 229 Howard St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30317.
