Laura Louise Lewis Rollins, 56, of Murphy, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at her home.
She was born Dec. 3, 1960, in Illinois, and was the youngest of eight children.
She proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a nurse in her civilian life.
Laura was a member of Shepherd of the Mountains Church and enjoyed baking and cooking, hunting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her devoted spouse, Dusty Lynn Rollins; daughter, Amanda Tucker of Dallas, Texas; son, Jerry Covington of Norfolk, Va.; stepdaughter, Terrah Linden of Mauldin, S.C.; stepsons, Joshua Rollins of Spartanburg, S.C., and Nathan James of Orlando, Fla.; and grandchildren, Blaine, Rylin, Corinne, Lauryn, Wyatt, Sebastian, Chloe, Sarrah, Andrew and Halie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
