
Amanda Jean Newton Reynolds, 39, of Murphy, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Murphy Medical Center.
She was born in Thomasville to the late Jean Lovingood Newton and Therman Newton and wife Jody of Murphy.
Amanda was a homemaker. She was a member of Wilscott Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Zavier Thompson.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Jamie Reynolds; three brothers, Jason Newton, Jamie Newton and wife Natasha, Bronson Newton and wife Brittany, and Scotty Newton; one sister, April Hughes and husband David; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Revs. Billy Rhodes, John Horton and Andy Williams officiated. Burial was in Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens in Hayesville. Pallbearers were Randal Lovingood, Ronald Ware, Steve Tanner, Jared Gurley, Preston Cabe and Steve Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Newton, Jamie Newton, Bronson Newton, Tommy Howard and Jake Rhodes.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
