Johnny Wayne Yonce, 60, of Andrews, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Mr. Yonce was born July 1, 1957, in Cherokee County, to the late Ellis Yonce and the late Lillian Sue Gibby Yonce.
A member of Junaluska Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Rhea Lunsford Yonce; son, Jason Yonce; two brothers, Robert (Regina) Yonce and Ronnie (Della) Yonce; and several nieces and
nephews.
A celebration of life service was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in the chapel at Cochran Funeral Home in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Murphy Medical Center Scholarship Fund, Attention: Toni Lovingood, 3990 U.S. 64 E. Alternate, Murphy, NC 28906.
