
Scott Calvin Caldwell, 63, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at his residence.
He was a native of Crawford County, Pa., but moved to Cherokee County in the 1980s.
Scott worked as a child psychologist for more than 20 years with Smoky Mountain Mental Health.
Scott enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He always put others first and dedicated his life to those around him. Scott was a selfless, kind and loving man.
He was the son of the late Harold and Wanda Pawlowski Caldwell.
Surviving are his daughter, Sarah Caldwell Lackey of Hayesville; a son, Zach Caldwell and wife Raven of Hayesville; former wife, Pat Caldwell of Hayesville; three sisters, Wanda Holmes and Eileen Maricle, both of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Kelley VanMatre of Waterford, Pa.; four brothers, Harold Caldwell of Troy, Pa., Craig Caldwell of Waterford, Pa., Chris Caldwell of Cambridge Springs, Pa., and Cliff Caldwell of Furlong, Pa.; two grandchildren, Logan Caldwell and Emillia Lackey; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
