Bonnie B. Bevins, 59, of Andrews, died peacefully in her home Saturday, March 23, 2019, with her husband of 33 years by her side after a long illness.
She was born April 27, 1959, in Lakeland, Fla., but lived in Cherokee County throughout her childhood and permanently for the last 38 years.
She loved the outdoors, going fishing, camping and swimming. Her favorite times were spent in Michigan salmon fishing with her husband and many friends.
She worked as a 911 operator for Cherokee County for 16 years, and before that she was a devoted homemaker and loving mom raising her two children, Angela Dailey and David Radney.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Jean Badcock, and sister, Cathy Strout, both of Winter Haven, Fla.
Surviving are her loving husband, Jess Bevins; two children, Angela Dailey of Andrews and David Radney of Polk City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Skye Raxter of Marble and Bristol Dailey and Camden Roberts, both of Andrews; one great-grandchild, River Bennett of Marble; and also her father, Thomas Sarvis of Marble.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to Tony and Mandy Mason for all their help, support and devotion they have given to her (Bonnie) and Jess over these past few years. They went above and beyond to help and do all they could as her illness progressed. We also would like to thank Phyllis Stalcup for all her help and support.
Also, thank you to all the friends and family who came by the last few days of her life to say goodbye. I know it mean a lot to her.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Andrews Community Center Building. All are welcome to attend.
