    Timothy Mark “Tim” Fox, 59, of Marble, died Friday, July 1, 2016, in a Franklin hospital.
    He was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County.  Tim was owner and operator of Ranger Heating and Cooling for many years. He enjoyed sports and coached Ranger boys’ and girls’ basketball, and played softball for many years. In his younger years, he danced with the Carolina Sweethearts.
    Tim was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
    He was the son of the late Herbert Mark and Opal Stiles Fox.
    Surviving are a daughter, Erika Fox Twiggs and husband Chris of Murphy; former wife, Camellia “Mickey” Fox of Turtletown, Tenn.; a sister, Debra Bennie and husband Mike of McCaysville, Ga.; a brother, Thomas Darryl Fox and wife Maria of Traveler’s Rest, S.C.; three grandsons, Abram, Elijah and Jude Twiggs; a niece, Jessica Fox; and a nephew, Travis Fox.
    A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 7, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, with the Rev. Zack Orton officiating. The inurnment will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery following the memorial service.
    The family will receive friends from 5-5:45 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, prior to the services.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Timothy Mark “Tim” Fox to the Fox Youth Sports Fund, c/o United Community Bank, 116 Peachtree Street, Murphy, NC 28906.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of all arrangements.
